Everyday Jewelry: The Pieces I Never Take Off
I’ve never been big into changing up my jewelry – I just stick with the pieces that I know and love – and wear everyday. I tend to lean towards pretty minimal styles in a mix of silver and gold. I’m always investing in quality because I sleep, swim, workout, shower and travel in them.
Left Wrist:
1. Monica Vinader Fiji Bud Cuff in Silver
I have the silver, but it looks like they’re only offering gold right now. This was a gift from my brother and sister-in-law when I graduated college. They engraved the inside of it, which makes it even more special.
2. Silver Gold Bangle
This actually belonged to my grandmother – who was the chicest! I think she made this bangle in grade school. It was really big on me, but I had it resized, and it’s now such a treasure. I just love how classic and simple it is – I found a very similar one on Etsy.
Right Wrist:
1. Dorsey James Bezel in Gold
The bezel setting is beautiful – it feels like more of a statement than the below styles without being too flashy.
2. Baguette Gold Chain in Gold
Great price point and so easy to wear. Adds the perfect little something to your wrist solo or stacked.
3. Clemence in Gold
This was one of my first Dorsey pieces when I was looking to start a stack – I love how dainty it is.
4. Small Heart ID Bracelet in Gold
I got this one just before our wedding and had our wedding date engraved on it. I love it! Would make such a special gift.
Neck:
1. 1 mm Bead Chain
I don’t like anything super heavy or constricting on my neck so this is the perfect ‘barely there’ chain to wear everyday – I honestly forget it’s even there.
2. Gold Mini Letter Charm
I wanted to get a chain (above) and then start adding some special charms to it. My first one was a mini “M” but I hope to continue building it over the years!
Ring:
1. Custom Engagement Ring
My engagement ring and wedding band were both custom by a friend/ jeweler. If it helps, my ring is a round diamond with 4 prongs on a really simple/ thin platinum band.
2. Custom Wedding Band
I wanted something thicker to stack with my engagement ring – I ended up going with a 2.4mm thick platinum band and then inlaying four diamonds on the top, bottom and two sides that were taken from a pair of my grandmother's earrings. Our jeweler said the diamonds from the earrings were called “Old European’s” probably cut in the 40s or 50s. I am so pleased with the final result!
